Splenin use

It refers to the group splenin biostimulating means. This protein-free type hormonal preparation obtained from the extraction solution produced from cattle spleen. The main components: an extract of the spleen of cattle, 10% ethyl alcohol.

Instructions for use splenin

Splenin at a toxicosis in early pregnancy should be in accordance with the degree of the disease:

  • toxicosis at the first degree - 1 ml of 1 times a day for 5-10 days;
  • toxicosis at the second degree - 4 ml for a single injection for 10-15 days;
  • toxicosis in third degree - 2 ml, 2 times a day for 15 days followed by a decrease in dosage.

The total course of treatment at a toxicosis should not exceed 30 days.

When functioning parathyroid disorders splenin solution must be administered 1 ml 1-2 times a day for 10 days.

During chemotherapy for cancer treatment splenin injection should be administered two times a day to 2 ml (30-40 minutes after exposure).

For the treatment of inflammatory and viral diseases of the respiratory system splenin must enter 2-4 ml, 2 times a day. The drug is injected slowly for 3-5 minutes. The course of treatment is 14 to 20 days.

 Splenin during pregnancy


Splenin contraindicated in hypersensitivity and intolerance to the components of the drug, internal bleeding, hormonal disorders, liver and kidney failure in children under 12 years.

Precautions should be prescribed the drug in the elderly.

Side effects splenin
