Solutan - combined medication used for the treatment of asthma and bronchitis.

The composition and the form of solutan

Solutan produced in the form of oral solution.  Solutan Solution

The structure solutan includes the following components: ephedrine hydrochloride, radobelin, procaine hydrochloride, sodium iodide, toluanskogo balm extract, saponin, a bitter-almond water.

In flakonah- 50 ml.

Analogs solutan

Analogues solutan of the active substance does not exist. Alternatively, as a counterpart to solutan it can be used another drug, of which consists of ephedrine hydrochloride.

Pharmacological action

Solutan has a bronchodilator and expectorant action. Ephedrine hydrochloride, which is part of solutan, is the main active component, through which ensured a bronchodilator effect of the drug, resulting in bronchodilation.

Indications solutan

According to the instructions the drug is indicated for use in bronchial asthma and bronchitis.


The instructions to the drug contain the following contraindications:

  • atherosclerosis;
  • glaucoma;
  • enlargement of the prostate gland;
  • Hypersensitivity to one or more components forming part solutan.

Dosing and dosing regimen solutan

According to the instructions the drug is taken orally, after meals.  Solutan - Dropper bottle

As a rule, the dosage is 10-30 drops from two to three times per day. When asthma attacks may increase the dosage to 60 drops at a time.

Children aged 12-15 take 5-10 drops from two to three times per day.

Application solutan during pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy and lactation the drug should be used with caution as sodium iodide and radobelin belonging to the solutan, cross the placenta, and Belladonna stands with mother's milk.

Side effects

In the opinion of the action of the drug in the body may cause the following side effects, which adversely affect the work of the body:

  • Cardiovascular system: tachycardia, ataxia, ventricular arrhythmia, increased blood pressure, heart pain.
  • Digestive system: nausea, vomiting, dryness of the oral mucosa, diarrhea, epigastric pain.
  • Central nervous system: sweating, headache, unjustified anxiety, sleep disturbances, dilated pupils.

Furthermore, the use solutan may cause allergic reactions.


In the opinion of overdose Solutanom causes increased side effects, namely ventricular arrhythmia, insomnia, migraine, ataxia, anxiety, tremors, sweating, contact dermatitis, tachycardia, increased blood pressure.

Storage conditions

The drug is stored in a cool, dry place for no longer than 36 months.
