Product form

Regulaks produced in two dosage forms:

  • Chewable cubes containing active ingredient - sennosides A and B (narrow-leaved fruit of senna leaves and senna aquifolium), 6 pieces per pack;
  • Drops for oral administration (Regulaks picosulfate) containing 1 ml (15 drops) 7. 5 mg of active ingredient - sodium picosulphate, 10, 20 and 50 mL in dark glass vials, droppers.

Analogues are drugs Regulaksa Antrasennin, Glaksenna, Senado Tisasen, Ex Lax, Senadeksin, Gerbion Lexan, Senaleks.

Pharmacological action

The drug Regulaks has a laxative effect, without affecting the digestion and without causing addiction. As a rule, the effect of the drug develops after 8-12 hours after ingestion.

Indications Regulaksa

Regulaks according to the instructions indicated for constipation, namely when:

  • Hypo- and atony of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • Sluggish motility of the colon, including the condition after surgery or childbirth.

In addition, Regulaks used to control the chair when proctitis, hemorrhoids and fissures of the anus. In some cases, the drug is prescribed in preparation for radiological studies and operations.


According to the instructions Regulaks contraindicated to apply at:

  • Strangulated hernia;
  • Metrorrhagia;
  • Spastic constipation;
  • Bowel obstruction;
  • Bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract;
  • Cystitis;
  • Disruption of water and electrolyte metabolism;
  • Acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal cavity, including peritonitis;
  • Hypersensitivity to the Regulaksa.

Application Regulaksa in the form of drops is contraindicated under the age of 4 years.

Application Regulaksa during pregnancy and lactation

Cubes chewable Regulaks during pregnancy and lactation is allowed to be used with caution. Also, this dosage form of the drug is recommended to be taken with caution under the age of 6 years in the states after open surgery, and in patients with renal or hepatic obstruction.

Drops for intake in pregnancy is contraindicated Regulaks used in the first trimester. In the second and third trimesters and during lactation the drug is allowed to be used with caution.

Dosing Regulaksa

Cubes chewable Regulaks according to the instructions advised to take before bedtime. The adult dosage is from 0, 5 to 1 cube. For children 1-6 years are usually given 1/3 of the adult dose for children 6-12 years of dosage can be increased to 2.1 parts.

Cubes for chewing should not take longer than one week. Longer application Regulaksa may lead to increased consolidation of the intestine.

Drops Regulaks picosulphate should also be taken at bedtime. The initial dose is typically 13 drops, and when obstipation dose can be increased twice. The initial dose for children from 4 years of age is 5-8 drops.  Regulaks picosulphate

Simultaneous application Regulaksa with broad spectrum antibiotics may reduce laxative effect.

In the opinion of Regulaks while taking diuretics and corticosteroids increases the risk of electrolyte abnormalities.

Regulaks refers to a number of non-prescription laxatives. Chewable cubes should be stored no longer than 36 months, drops for oral administration - 5 years.
