Structure and Composition

The drug is available in tablets of white color. One tablet contains active substance - 750 ug levonorgestrel. Auxiliary components: lactose monohydrate, potato starch, talc, corn starch, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide.

Pharmacological action

Postinor - synthetic contraceptive with pronounced antiestrogenic properties and progestin. The use of Postinor inhibits ovulation and fertilization when the sexual contact occurred in the pre-ovulatory phase, at the highest probability of fertilization. Also levonorgestrel causes changes in the endometrium which prevent implantation.
