Pilobakt - complex drug for the treatment of peptic ulcer.
Structure and Composition
Set Pilobakt includes clarithromycin tablet (500 mg), amoxicillin capsules (500 mg) and enteric capsule of omeprazole (20 mg).
In 1 set contains 2 tablets of clarithromycin, amoxicillin and 4 capsules 2 capsules of omeprazole. All these drugs are enclosed in a cell contour of aluminum foil. The carton Pilobakta contour 7 cells together with instructions for use.
Pharmacological action Pilobakta
The drug has Pilobakt antiulcer action. This combination of components allows to achieve a high level of eradication of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). Omeprazole inhibits the production of gastric acid, reducing both basal and stimulated secretion regardless of the origin of the stimulus. After oral omeprazole begins to act for 1 hour, the duration of effect persists up to 24 hours.
Clarithromycin relates to antibiotics of the macrolide. It has antimicrobial activity against Helicobacter pylori.
Amoxicillin - an antibiotic from the group of semi-synthetic penicillins, has quite a wide range of actions. It has a pronounced activity against Helicobacter pylori. The combination of the two antimicrobials allows for enhanced antimicrobial effect against Helicobacter pylori, which plays an important role in the eradication therapy.
According to the instructions Pilobakt indicated for eradication therapy of Helicobacter pylori in gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcers, as well as gastroduodenitis with high activity of the microorganism.
This drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, porphyria, childhood phenomena hepatic / renal failure, as well as during pregnancy and lactation. Prohibited Pilobakt combined with astemizole, tsizapridina and pimozidina.
Dosing and Administration
Each aluminum blister Pilobakta of instructions designed for 1 day of treatment. Take the drug needed before a meal 1 capsule of omeprazole, 1 tablet of clarithromycin and amoxicillin 2 capsules twice a day - morning and evening. Tablets and capsules can not divide, crush or chew.
Course application Pilobakta is 7 days.
Side effects Pilobakta
In the opinion of Pilobakt rarely causes side effects. From the digestive system may cause nausea, vomiting, bloating, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dry mouth, the appearance of stomatitis, elevated liver transaminases (ALT, AST).
Very rarely, in the opinion Pilobakt can cause pseudomembranous colitis.
From the nervous system may cause headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, ataxia, paresthesias, depression, peripheral neuropathy. These reactions occur in less than 1-3% of cases.
On the part of the musculoskeletal system, reviews, Pilobakt can cause myalgia, arthralgia, and muscle weakness.
Also, rarely there may be allergic reaction (itching, hives, angioedema, bronchospasm).
Interaction with other drugs
When concomitant administration with theophylline may be an increase in its concentration in the blood serum.
Concomitant use Pilobakta with indirect anticoagulants may potentiate the action of the latter.
Omeprazole may slow excretion of drugs such as phenytoin, warfarin, diazepam.
Through inhibition production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach may change the absorption of ketoconazole, ampicillin and iron preparations.
It should also be borne in mind that the simultaneous use of amoxicillin and oral contraceptives can reduce the effect of the latter.
Pilobakta analogues are the following drugs: pilobakt neo, peptipak, omeprazole, fromilid amoxicillin. Before replacing analogue Pilobakta should consult with your doctor to choose the full treatment.
It is necessary before treatment to exclude oncological character of ulcer process.
While the use of warfarin is required to monitor the patient's coagulation (prothrombin index).
When heart disease is not recommended to combine Pilobakt while taking terfenadine, cisapride, and astemizole.
