Pharmacological action

The active substance has antihelminthic levamisole and immunomodulatory effects.

As anthelminthics Levamisole Dekaris highly effective in ascariasis and exhibits less effective when necatoriasis, strongyloidiasis, trihostrongiloidoze, ankilostomidoze. Immunomodulatory drug Levamisole amplifies and normalizes cellular immunity, probably affecting macrophages and T-lymphocytes.

Product form

Levamisole Dekaris produced in the form:

  • White flat tablets containing 150 mg of active substance 1 tablet in the package;
  • Light orange flat tablets containing 50 mg of active substance, 2 tablets in the package.

Excipients - povidone, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, corn starch, talc, sucrose, and dye sunset yellow (for Levamisole 50 mg tablets).

Indications for use of levamisole

Levamisole is used as an instruction for a sedative if:

  • Necatoriasis;
  • Ascariasis;
  • Hookworm;
  • Trihostrongiloidoze;
  • Strongyloidiasis.

Immunomodulatory drug Levamisole Dekaris used for:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis;
  • Chronic active hepatitis B;
  • Reiter's disease;
  • Persistent viral hepatitis;
  • Infectious diseases, including recurrent infections that are caused by Varicella Zoster virus and Herpes Simplex Type 1 and 2;
  • Crohn's disease;
