Gastrotsepin pills

Gastrotsepin is an anti-ulcer, reducing acid production, gastroprotective (film-forming) agent M1 cholinergic receptor blocker.

Pharmacological action

The active substance gastrotsepin - pirenzepine, which is a selective antagonist of M1-cholinergic receptors localized in parasympathetic nodes of the alimentary canal. Non-selective anticholinergic blocking M1 and M2 cholinergic receptors, not only to reduce the secretion of gastric glands, but also bronchial and salivary glands contribute dilated pupils, increased heart rate, lowering the tone of smooth muscles.

Gastrotsepin produced in the form of tablets of 25 or 50 mg and as a solution for injection (2 ml corresponds to 10 mg).
