Amikacin - Solution for intravenous administration
 Amikacin - an antibacterial agent from the group of aminoglycosides.

Release form and composition

Amikacin is produced in powder form and ready solution for intramuscular and intravenous administration.

The active ingredient in the composition of the drug acts in the form of amikacin sulfate (1 ml - 250 mg). Supporting components are:

  • Sodium bisulfite;
  • Sodium citrate for injection;
  • Water for Injection;
  • Sulfuric acid dilution.

The solution formulation is available in glass vials 4 ml. Blisters containing 5 or 10 vials funds. In a cardboard unit 1 or 2 packages.

Amikacin Powder for solution is available in bottles of 10 ml. One cardboard boxes containing 1, 5 or 10 vials.

Dosage and Administration

Amikacin intramuscularly or intravenously administered every 8 hours of 5 mg / kg every 12 hours or at 7, 5 mg / kg.

Side effects
