China is the homeland of fish. According to sources, you can find out what food it was used in the year 1000 BC, it was considered a favorite dish of many Chinese emperors.

Somewhat later, the carp has become popular in other Asian countries, and then went to Europe. In Europe, the fish perceived in two ways - both as food and as an ornamental. In England and the Czech Republic were created artificial ponds for fish farming, and on the table Ostrogothic King Theodoric the carp was a regular feature. In the US, the first mention of carp found in 1877, during a severe economic depression, when the country experienced a strong decline of industry and production, which, of course, had to compensate by imports from abroad inexpensive products.

Carp prefers to live in stagnant, calm or quiet flowing waters with hard clay bottom. Often it can be found in reservoirs, lakes and rivers. Distributed by it and in some reservoirs of Central Asia and Siberia. In Ukraine, he lives in almost all rivers, only very small quantities.

Externally similar to the young carp carp, only longer and thicker body. His lips were active and massive, and along wide stretches across the back fin. At colored carp is very beautiful color.
